I'm 51 and just getting going - I enjoyed reading threads from a 52 year old asking if we was too late, so I empathize. My goal is just to be present and have fun.

So a question: I am working on the easy version of "Wild Horses" - song I love and I think the instructor has done a really good job. I am working on learning barre chords for the first time and switching between B minor (the barre chord) and G. I've been at it a while but don't feel like I'm getting any faster - still one finger at a time. Any tips on how to speed up?

Wild Horses is a great song!

Here is a great lesson we have on chord change strategies for barre chords:

We also have another lesson that will help you with switching between barre chords:

The first thing to keep in mind is that you will never move quickly from a barre chord if you don’t master the action of applying, and releasing, pressure on the fretboard. The more you practice the easier it is to switch between chords. These lessons should help you out!

Wild Horses is a good song. I would suggest you to practice a lot only then you will be able to switch between chords easily.
