Other than learning a few chords back in the 60's, I'm a beginner. I did take piano as a kid, so have some music knowledge. This all started last week when I had Waltz Across Texas stuck in my head. Found Ernest Tubb's band playing it on YouTube and got fascinated with the sound of the pedal steel guitar and moved on to other steel guitar videos. I ended up on a video of square neck resonator guitar. Loved the sound and decided I wanted to learn to play. Since we don't have a resonator guitar, but did have my husband's old acoustic guitar in the closet, I decided I had better start there. Dug it out and signed up here and am excited about learning. Took the guitar in yesterday to get new strings and setup, as it's been sitting in this closet and other closets for 30+ years.
Really enjoying Lisa's lessons. Anxious to get my guitar back tomorrow, so I can get back to practicing.
