I remember some of my first posts...way back when I thought fender guitars sucked and started a 5 page arguement on it. That was stupid but it was funny.

Anyway, point is if you want to start a large conversation all you gotta do is talk about world affairs or insult a good line of products.

i have to agree, taylor. although i do agree that fender makes the best NAME brand guitars, i believe the best guitars are made by luthiers, like Doug Irwin. Have you ever seen a picture of "Tiger", the well known Jerry Garcia guitar? 7 years in the making for that guitar, 14 pound guitar, sold for almost a million bucks.

but fender is still good:)

Taylor makes nice acoustics, especially those who want to play electric-style music, only acoustic. I own a Guild DC-1, which is awesome, warm tone, everything i need in an acoustic guitar.

methinks the original post got hijacked!

hi guys I'm new here too, I discovered the site while looking for an elusive monstrosity tab (check my post elsewhere and post a reply if you can help!)

some of the tricks on here are kickass, the the forum seems full of nice people always willing to offer some advice!

and I like Fenders, but wouldnt be seen dead playing one! I prefer gibson of the two bigger brands, but to be honest it all comes down to the guitar, a store near me has a tech who discreetly labels the price tags on the guitars if he finds one that plays exceptionally well. I've played strat copies that have a better feel than original fenders (not many I'll admit, but I have) but it's the same with any manufactuer

Fender does make kickass amps though, I cant fault em on that!

i'de just like to add that there is alot to be said for a Martin acoustic. any model. ah, some day! actually i have an acoustic that i have never heard anyone mention before. has anyone ever heard of an arbor acoustic guitar? they are cheap, i'll give you that but considering i only paid $200 and some change for it brand new, it has done pretty well the past 5 years. it is kind of beat up but it sure has that warm homey feeling.
