Hey Anthony!

What is going on is your phone's display settings are set so it dims after a period of time.

Here is a great article that has screenshots on how to adjust your screen timeout settings:

Hi fuzzbox,

You need to edit your phone's display settings. The phone's screen dims over time to conserve battery. Check out the link I posted for further info.

Thanks for the reply, I don't need to edit my phone settings when using any other app only the guitar tricks one, is there not a way the app can stop the phone screen from timing out? the youtube app doesn't require you to edit your phone settings to watch a video without it timing out.

Hi Fuzzbox,

This is because Youtube has software that communicates with the phone settings you have.

Implementing this for our app would be a great idea. I will let the team know.

However, for now you will have to edit your phone's display settings while using the app to keep the screen from dimming. Sorry about that! We are always looking to improve your app experience.

You can use another video player (https://minerev.com/mx-player/) for watching.
