Portable setup for guitar, and GT lessons and Jam trax

Hello. Just joined recently. Been playing acoustic guitar for many, many years but wanting to learn some blues and rock electric guitar. I've got me a decent Ibanez semi hallow, and some garage sale amps my boys had when they were teenagers. Still haven't put together a real "setup" for myself.

First off, I want to concentrate on learning and practicing, and a setup that's maybe portable. I often have down time at my office where I practice on a beater acoustic, but I'd like to start working on Guitar Tricks lessons. I carry my laptop and my iPhone 6S with me just about everywhere, and I've got an old iPad kicking around (and wouldn't mind an excuse to pick up a new iPad).

What's a good portable setup where I can hear my electric guitar and Guitar Tricks lessons and Jam tracks at the same time? Would something work with the guitar going into iRig on the iPhone, a laptop going into an aux in on the iRig (I don't know if an iRig gives you an aux in) or something? or something that lets me watch lessons and hear the guitar all on an iPad?

Any advice?
