Marshall Plexis!!
Ok as of now I am way big into Hendrix, Vaughn, and Eddie VH. I've been playing for about nine years now so I'm starting to get somewhat proficient and I'm looking to go for the old school sound. I'm playing through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112 with a Epiphone Custom(no probs with the guitar except no whammy). I want to get a Plexi but I was wondering if I'm going to have to drop some serious dough or what? Anyone out there have a Plexi?

Anything Marshal your going to always drop some serious dough! I Don't own anything marshal except for the Marshal 9000 Rack Head wich I don't use anymore since I've been using the Mesa Boogie Triaxis since 94. But I've played through many different Marshal heads in music stores and they all sounded great to me.
I started learning guitar because of Randy Rhoads..but Yngwie J. Malmsteen is my biggest influence.

I guess I should have stated the ? differently. Will the fact that the Plexi is old and hard to find(I guess) make it extremely expensive or will it be just like another nice Marshall?

Something to remember, if it's good, the older and harder to find it gets, raises the price accordingly, a good place to find out some general info on Marshalls is,
