Do any of you guys subscribe to any "Guitar" Mags?

If so, what are they and why?

I don't suscribe to any cause I'm broke, and I don't get that much out of them anymore.

I let all my subs run out. They have all gone down hill so far in my opinion that they are not worth much. You can find a LOT more actual info on the net.

I went with Guitar One, but I agree with Bofatron - most mags have gone downhill. It used to be that with GO, I'd find several things in every issue that I could use. But they seem to be having more and more issues dedicated to Slipknot, Korn, etc and less stuff on actually playing. I just let my sub run out to that recently because I finally got pissed off about the whole thang. Also - if you look hard enough, you can find the same stuff they print in the mags somewhere on the 'net.

I suscribe to Guitar techniques, for the simple reason that they've got transcriptions and lessons insted of interviews. Check out that mag you won't be disappointed! There's always something new to learn in it every month!

I get Guitar Player every month w/ my subscription and when I can I get Guitar World in the grocery store. Both are really good magazines (though I like GW more). And if you are into buying alot of stuff, go to www.musiciansfriend.com and have them sign you up for a year's worth of free issues. It's a good way to see how the prices are changing.

When I set out to collect a magazine, I wanted to subscribe to the best one out there with the best articles, and the most informative information to enhanse my playing. Guitar World is the best magazine on the rack today, the other magazines are good, but basically I wanted to jump right into it all without any chances of being held back. with Guitar World as the years progress you'll notice a big improvment with your overall style.

Guitar player is also a good choice.

I just read Guitar World cover to cover over the past few days and I did all the lessons and tab within it. I agree with you totally. Just the little bit contained in that book helped me sound a lil better and if I do that everytime ill become even better yet. Can anyone tell I'm bored today, this is about the 5th thing i've posted within the hour. lol...
