This is a very general/broad question, but can someone point me in the right direction for Todd Snider's playing style. When I listen to it, I sometimes can't distinguish if he is picking, using hammer ons / pull offs while strumming, or strumming. Quite possibly just a combination of all three.

Was wondering if there was a lesson series or some drills to practice this sound. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with everything he does, but the few songs I've heard he's using finger picking technique with alternating bass & usually in a Travis Picking style.

Caren teaches the basics of that style.

Andy shows how to get a bit deeper into it.

Anders does a great job of really showing how much is possible with finger picking acoustic styles, from basics.

And here are a couple of songs that can give you more practice at that kind of style.

Hope that helps. Please ask more if necessary & best of success with your guitar playing!
