Hi there. I just thought I would make you aware, I have been unable to print any notation for any of the lessons. Upon hitting the "Print Notation" button on any given lesson I will have a separate window open. The window however is blank. The address bar reads "about:blank."

I have tried this on different computers and printers, Windows 7, Windows 10 and specifically in Google Chrome.

Thanks.

Is it happening on all lessons or just a select few? Have you tried opening the notation window and just hitting Control+P?

You might also want to try updating you Adobe reader plugin for whatever browser you're using.

Hi there. Yes I have tried "Ctrl-P." THis has been the case on every lesson I have tried to print on more than one device. I checked for updates and everything checked out as up to date.

I'm not personally losing sleep over it as I generally have to re-write all of my music by hand so that I can actually read it. Just thought you might like to know.

I was wondering what the deal is with lesson notation. Often one can open the notation from a red topic bar under the video. Then the notation window has a text label that will open the text in a new window. My new window (using Firefox from Fedora) does not allow me to print. From here I could take a screenshot and fill a page with the image but this does require a lot of additional work for us users. A simple button like some videos have that opens the notation as a *.pdf would be much more user friendly.

As an example the song lesson for "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" has a bonus part on incorporating the bass/piano parts. I can't imagine copyright issues or anything here to stop Guitar Tricks from allowing this type of information to be printed. I thought Guitar Tricks has secured rights to teach the artists songs, so does this not also include the right to allow users to print the notation?

Namaste,

Hi Kevin,

We have legal agreements with music publishers that lets us offer song lesson videos, but unfortunately they don't let us offer notation printing. We can offer the notation online, but can't offer users a way to print it out. I know that's frustrating, but that's the rule we need to follow.

To make it easier to view notation along with the video, we added a link that opens the notation in a new window, so that you can have the notation and video side-by-side. This link is on the notation tab right above the notation.

For non-song lessons, you can print lesson notation by clicking the print button in the right-hand sidebar.

Let us know if you have any questions about this!
