Hello Everyone, Finally took the plunge

Hello all,
just wanted to stop by and introduce myself to the community. My name is Cedric and I'm here in NY. After waiting and debating, I finally picked up a FGX700sc this past weekend and after some quick research, I found GuitarTricks.com. Playing the guitar is all new to me, but I love the format and the beginner's instructor, Ms McCormick is amazing. I look forward to learning with you all.

I too consider myself a beginner because I played Garage Band Rock and Roll back in the 60's but just started picking it up again about three months ago. For all of you beginners, Guitar Tricks is an excellent site, and if you are a total beginner, follow along with Lisa McCormick and she will take you a long way. Once you get to the point that you have a few open chords you can play, then you might go into the songs section and pick out a few songs to play. Make it fun for yourself and you will do well! Welcome!!
