Yamaha APX 1200II

Hi Guys,

Just starting over again after a gap of 13 long years.

Just bought a new guitar (YAMAHA APX 1200 II) - I plan to learn Acoustic and electric (shall buy a electric guitar later).

May I request your feedback for Yamaha APX 1200 II please - I do have an option to exchange it for CPX 1200 II (which is bit jumbo side as compared to my APX 1200II). Sales rep - told me on AMPs both can sound same with a bit of settings adjustments. Did try APX and CPX on AMPs, could make the difference, but still not sure about wider range of acoustic variations because of lack of experience.

I actually don't know too much about either of those guitars.

Anybody else have some background on these acoustics?

Did you keep it. Any feedback appreciated on this model

Very interested in this instrument too. It has the same scale as all the APX thinline models - which is absolutely perfect, and also what makes it the #1 acoustic/electric in the world.

But, the original APX1200 was a professional version of the economy APX 700 which I own. It also had massivly upgraded electronics. The economy model is not bad plugged in, but unplugged it sounds lousy.

So want to try an APX 1200 or APX 1200ii. So, did you buy it, and if so please tell me about it.

Oh, also, the materials on the APX 1200 are so perfect.
