It's tough because you like *your* guitar,irrespective of value,so it will be difficult to replace...

...BUT...Totally Hypothetically...

if you can take a day or so out of work/school (worth it for the potential profit) and play all the strats/strat copies in all the shops you can find, up to say $1500, and you find your model of amp in the shop and you get your sound with one of those strats,and you're sure...

it's a lot of ands and maybes,but I'd say find a soundalike/playalike first ..if you cant then you know the answer.

Internet dealing is fraught with hucksters,idiots,people who don't know what they want and {nasty expletive}s..so just excercise caution.
