i do this but it sounds weird
so am i supposed to do the top one and us to fingers to pluck them at the same time, wich sounds clean but its not as fast and i need 2 put my pick down,

i dunno
please tell me wat to do, or wat u do

Just mute the string in between with your left index finger, and stroke it with a pick like a chord. An X doesn't mean it doesn't get played, it means it gets muted with the left hand.

Octaves are quite tricky to play, expecially when you are improvising. Wes Montgomery used to play them with his thumb, while he muted the string in between with his left hand, while some jazz cats pluck them, so they don't have tu mute, but the sound is less round... Find what works best for you.
