Beginner, Second Time Round

Hi, I've been enjoying the free trial and think its a great site. Definitely planning on paying for membership.

I've been playing guitar for a few years now but am nowhere near where I'd like to be or where people would expect me to be. I learned guitar to accompany my voice so skipped a lot of basics. So this year I decided my old hobby of playing guitar would be my new hobby too, but this time actually learning to be a guitarist!!

Lets hope an old dog can learn new tricks!! I was29 when I decided I wanted to play, 32 when I decided I wanted to learn!! Never too late!! :-)

This is my fourth time around lol I'll be 71 this year... just bought a second hand Yamaha electric and practice amp... this time I really am gonna get stuck in... I play piano and know a fair bit of theory, which is handy in some respects, but confusing also... there is after all only one middle C on a keyboard.
Anyway, good luck... practice makes perfect and all that... my goal is to be able to play a reasonable rendition of "Stairway to Heaven" within a year.
