"Rocco Prestia, the legendary bass guitarist for the renowned soul and funk band Tower of Power, urgently needs a liver transplant. The bills far exceed his coverage and ability to pay. Rocco needs more than $300,000 and he needs it fast. Hence, Tower of Power fans have organized this fund-raising campaign (see Regional Coordinators). All donations will be used to pay Rocco’s medical bills and some of his personal expenses (utilities, etc.). This includes an estimated 9-12 months of post-operative care, anti-rejection medication, etc. He continues to receive his salary from the band.
