Apple TV4 app?

Hey guys, I absolutely love Guitar Tricks. I typically use it on iPad or laptop. Do you have plans to port your iPad app to TvOS? I think it would be a great medium for your ideo based lessons. Might give you a competitive advantage in a very competitive market.

Thanks for the input! Great idea and I'll certainly let the team know about this.

If you have an iPhone you can use Air Play to stream lessons to the Apple TV. It work great. I don't use my computer any more to get my lessons.
A dedicated Apple TV app would be cool, but in the mean time, use AirPlay from your iPhone.

I am so happy and proud to announce that Guitar Tricks is now available on Apple TV! The tvOS app was made public just a few hours ago, so you should be able to view and download the app directly from your Apple TV. If you don't see it there, check back in a few hours, as new releases sometimes take a few hours.

QUICK IMPORTANT UPDATE:: Apple TV app was released but there are a few more fixes we are working on, so be on the lookout for an update to after Christmas that should improve its performance. Thanks for your patience and support as always.

Tried on on Apple TV. Can go through lessons.
But can't find anyplace for playing backup tracks, looking at notation, using the tuner or other goodies on the apple tv app.

Is it possible to access these through the app, or only on the computer?

Right now we are on the first version which is very simple, but we will be updating it to have more features (such as backing tracks and notation) in the future. We're working on it! We just wanted to get something simple out first to see what people thought about a TV app for Guitar Tricks.

I love this app for the Apple TV. We just upgraded to the new version of Apple TV so I downloaded the app right away. I'm not able to access anything past the first 2 levels of the Core Learning System though. I can't choose Rock, Country, or Blues but I'm assuming those are coming.

I'm glad you like it!

To access the blues, rock and country parts of the Core Learning System you need to click the 'Experienced' button on the homepage menu.

Got the new Apple TV and guitar tricks app. I can seem to navigate to most of the videos but cannot get the notation tablature which shows up on a regular computer. Same goes for tuner and backing tracks.
Is there a way to access this stuff yet or am I not using the remote control correctly? Also I might accidentally swipe down and I get some menu for sound playback but I can't swipe it back up and it sits on top of the video which is playing so I can't see much of the video. This doesn't happen often and I try to be extra careful touching the Apple TV finger pad. Not sure if this is related to my tv or the app. Any clues on this one?
I thing a simple guide might be to post a picture of an Apple TV remote control and describe what each button does and also have some notes on what the app is currently unable to do.

I am looking at a guitar tricks video on my iPad. I set the a b toggle marks but it is not repeating. Is there a certain order I need to follow for it to work correctly?
