Hey & welcome to GT! :)

The good news is that everything Lisa & I teach for beginners is equally applicable to electric and acoustic! So either one is just fine to follow.

However, it is important to know that my GF1 & 2 were created 5-6 years ago! Since then video & internet technology has improved. GT has learned a lot about how to make better videos & an overall learning experience.

For example, Lisa's videos feature 3 camera close ups. There are more play along tracks & parts. Those things weren't accessible for us in the early days of the site.

So, I suggest you start out by following Lisa! It's brand new & up to date! And her GF2 is almost ready for release! :)

Another note is that Lisa & I have different styles. So, it's possible you'll like hers more than mine or vice versa. And that's a great advantage of GT. Find a style you like, find a teacher you like. And if you want, you can do both!

Hope this helps. Best of success with your guitar!
