I am not sure about others, but I am not sure if Mr. Christopher Shclegel is the instructor module that goes after Lisa McCormick´s first module. I am following the map on the "Beginner´s Guitar Lessons", which goes from "1 Level Guitar Fundamentals" to "2 Level Guitar Fundamentals".

But if Lisa had a very laid back and informative style of teaching, the module Mr. Schlegel goes way too fast, at least for me. Maybe one gets badly accustomed to Lisa, but I am definitely investing more time on this part.

Seems like this instructor feels he doesn´t need to explain much about concepts such as the intervals, but me being kind of methodical, I need to understand and digest the relationships between notes and intervals. So I have truly felt slower in the beginning of this second part. Or maybe I am just plain dumb and slow.

Lisa's Fundamentals II hasn't been published yet. Christopher's Fundamentals II follows his Fundamentals I which is a different, previous Fundamentals course. For 'notes and intervals', go to Christopher's instructor page and check out the "Scales and Intervals" section.

I, too, tried the current GFII course after Lisa's GFI and just couldn't follow it. Instead, I found several other acoustic courses that Lisa teaches and have been progressing through them (mainly her acoustic fingerpicking course) while waiting for her GFII to come online. I had no problem getting into them after GFI and they have actually helped me with my chording and timing. Check 'em out.
And apparently Lisa's GFII is coming in the next couple weeks. Wooo HOO.

Well, not nice at all to learn this. I payed for continuity and organization, GT should have had some kind of announcement about this. Why should I go back to this guy´s "fundamentals" just to keep on with the course?

I respect those who can go the eclectic way and pinch lessons from here and there. But some of us are methodical and like an ordered approach, at least that is what GT was known for. Nice one, I hope the second part appears soon. This is one for the "not recommended learning site" opinions if asked about Guitar Tricks.

Lisa's GF2 should be out soon. In the meantime you could try learning something else. There's a whole bunch of stuff on this site, like slide guitar in Drop D, strumming, practice routines, etc.

Well, it has been in the making for a long time. I guess they want to make sure they nail it just right in the production and publishing process.
