Some of their pedals are ok. I suppose it all depends what you want them for. I wouldn't recomend their distortion pedal. It's very harsh and noisy. Their compressor is very noisy too. The chorus pedal isn't too bad. All in all it's like the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". But that's only my opinion. Shop around. For the amount of money you would spend on alot of little pedals, you might want to spend a few more bucks and get something like one of the DigiTech RP Family of effects processors. They're loaded with all kinds of goodies. They range from 100-200 bucks. You can hear them online at the musicians friend site.

There's no substitute for expeience. So get out there and break some strings on stage.

From what I've heard they generally sound pretty good. However, they're not up to gigging, simply because of how they're built. Plastic cases, the knobs turn trimpots mounted directly on the PCB and so on.

And please, please, don't buy a cheap multiFX unit. The cheap ones are the reason why so many guitarists hate multiFX. Definitely don't buy one that has a plastic casing - it's not designed for serious use. A secondhand GT-3 would be a much better bet for about the same money.

Whatever you do avoid BOSS GP20s and OD20. I was unfortunate enough to get both and I have had nothing but misery from each. Both have now bean sold. I also have had problems with the GE7 EQ peddle. The GE7 was OK on its own (or with an MZ2) but if you use it in conjunction with either the OD20 or GP20 it was HORRENDIOUS. The noise floor is beyond saving even with a good gate ! I used to (before I started recording in the 80s) love Boss kit to death however after my latest experiences I will think twice before I use any of there kit.

Incidentally I now use a POD pro and think it is a truly cool bit of kit. It is not a Soldano or a Dumble but a POD and that is more than I want.
Happy playing
