My name is Jiri and I`m glad to be here. I`ll be an active member, so expect to see me quite often. Once again, hello and nice to meet you all!!

It`s never too late to start, believe me. By 55 you can be a really good player and say by 60, you can be a hell of a guitarist. Just stick to it and put in the time. If you devote 2 hours a day to a dedicated practice, nothing can stop you. :) From what I`ve seen so far this is a really cool place to learn. Best!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one taking guitar lessons in the "over 50" crowd. At 63 I have found a new passion. I've been practicing everyday since late February (except for a short break while on vacation) and can say that GT is a wonderful source for learning the guitar - at least my wife says I'm getting better! Lisa McCormick and Christopher Schlegel are excellent instructors.

Welcome, just in order not to make other instructor jealous, I add the rest of them among my favourites too. BTW, I`m more into hard&heavy stuff. There are so many lessons (and instructors) that I have a long way ahead of me to get aquainted with all of them. As a matter of fact, I can envy you, because roughly my firt two years of playing were a total bliss. After that, I got spoiled, or in other words, got used to playing. No, I don`t actually envy you, I just wanted to stress that it really doesn`t matter when you start!
Best!

Hello everyone,

My name is Chantal and I'm new here too! Although not quite 50 yet, I'm excited to see some folks committed to learning more and developing new skills at all stages of life.

This is going to be FUN! :)
