Hi

Jumped the gun a bit and replied to beach boy before coming to intro. I'm Jeff and I just stumbled upon GT a few days ago. I've bee messing around with guitar for years, and I am originally a bass player. Want to learn guitar, primarily acoustic, and learn it the right way. Hope to get good enough quickly enough to start a band in suburban LA. Want to start and Irish Americana Rockish Folking thing and make some original music and do some tasty covers. I will be trying to make some major gains on GT. I would also like to make some new friends so that we can all help and support each other. Thanks.

Jeff, welcome to GT and to the forum. I find that learning the "right way" is what brings a lot of people here, which is fantastic news. Good to see people wanting to really hone their guitar skills.
