Hi, I'm martin form Derby, England, whilst I've been messing around with guitar for a few years, thought it was about time to learn properly rather than just badly strumming a coupla chords.

I have been playing Flute for 49 years since I was 11 - yeah yeah I'm now 60 years old. I have also just taken up Cello and am learning on my nice new Electric Cello:D

For a guitar i'm buying a new one next week, a Line 6 JTV-89F Modelling guitar, which will give the the chance to play electric, accoustic guitars and even banjo and sitar in one.:)

Glad to be on board.

regards,
Martin

Welcome Martin,

It certainly seems as though you will be musically busy for a while, which is a good thing. Guitar Tricks is a great resource, I wish it was available when I was starting out. Have fun!

Yours,

TAT

Welcome! Definitely sounds like you've got an impressive musical background, and what an awesome guitar to have on the way.

Enjoy it man!

Welcome Martin; We're not old yet,if we can still strum, pick or make an attempt to make music. We are the music people as you will see as you go through GT. It's a great site an offers so much for the new guitar player. I go for Lisa McCormmick she is so precise an meticulous in her teachings. You will love her. I'm 65 an don't feel old, I feel music, it keeps me young. Keeps me young an playing old tunes. You will love this site, keep playing till our fingers won't work anymore. Best to you lindap
