Anyone out there know of any quality online backing track sites for songs we learn here. Constantly streaming these GT song lessons and backing tracks are not always an option for me.

Looking for something that would have minimum bass and drums to these songs, vocals and keyboards would be great to top it off. Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

This is the best place that I know of.

http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/

You can download the MP3's for free and you can have them on the go.

guitarwiz1:

Thanks for the website, I found this one earlier but not sure if there was anything else. Unfortunately The Animals "It's My Life " is not in the archives of the guitarbackingtrack.com, I guess you cannot have them all.

What I do then is resort to YouTube video conversion to MP3 files with this website:

It's not the best but better than nothing. I'm not too familiar with guitarbackingtrack.com but can one alter or add vocals, drums, keyboards on these songs?? Is there a fee to do this and I guess not all songs have all these options??

Wow...color me impressed! I didn't know about such services. I tried two different YouTube videos on the above url and was surprised. Conversion was instantaneous, download took just a few seconds and I couldn't tell any difference in sound between the resulting mp3 and the original YouTube video. Very cool.

John-

Glad you like the link! For a year or so I looked around and saw what was on the Internet for downloading, you'd be surprised. I save this url, always comes in handy. Just gives something to jam with. If you right click the MP3 file, then under enhancements then under play speed, one can adjust to speed you're learning to. Pretty cool stuff today.
