Hi man really cool jam. try to pause a bit more. take a break, let the listener absorb your playing. try practicing like this: take a breath and play until you need to take another breath, then stop and take a breath and start playing again. pretend your sax player or some other wind instrument. And sing the lines you're about to play in your mind at list.
