It feels like my pick hits the high E on the upward movement and bounces. Therefore I miss the rest of the strings.
Strumming

I'm currently in the strumming section of GF1. One thing I've noticed is that I usually only play the high E on the up strum movement. Is that normal?

If you are working through the Fundamentals course with Lisa, then you will get a quicker answer by asking her directly in her instructor forum!

Hi Mousedna,
check your picking angle. if you look at your picking hand, does the pick line towards floor when you're strumming down? if it does, try to rotate that angle so the pick points to the ceiling when moving up.
