Looking to purchase an amp for home use. Not looking to spend a fortune but want a good quality system that will last and create the rock sound I'm looking for. I have two guitars that will be hooked to it, Fender Strat, Epiphone Les Paul custom. Any one have any ideas?

Depends on what you consider a fortune..
A good thing is to surf for what out there in your price range. Get an idea of a few you like and the post them here to get some users pros and cons.
If you like to goof around with different sounds at the push of a button go with modeling amp. If you like looking for your own sound get a tube amp and learn hot to set your amp and guitar.
A nice little amp I've heard good thing about is the Roland Cube.
Good luck with your search.. I sure you'll get plenty more advice..

First & foremost, go to a music store & play through some amps so you know what you are getting. Play with a few. Ask questions. See which one sounds the best to you. See which one's bells, whistles & knobs make the most sense to you.

What kind of rock sound are you looking for? Can you list a guitarist(s), band(s), song(s) as a reference?

In general, it's best to look at smaller amps with lots of flexibility. For example, Line 6 & Fender make great products for home & hobby players.

Those are just the beginner, entry level amps. Each company makes bigger, louder & more advanced versions of those models.

Have fun amp shopping!
