Oh... and at the bottom of that thread people started talking about Papa Roach. "playing last resort double speed downstrokes isn't something everyone can do..." something like that. BS. Papa Roach ripped of Bach in that song. Go learn Prelude in Em... or is it Cm... something minor... either way, they stole the 'last resort' riff from the harmony (left hand on the piano) part. But anyway... they made lots of money, so i guess it worked out... bleh...
Fastest guitarist....
I ran across an old thread of this on yahoo (looking for Malmsteen's Arpeggios from hell...) and thought I would bring it up again. Fastest guitarist I have heard - HIDE ... no longer with us :(... of X Japan. But that's probably just cause I haven't come across a faster player.

I'm really surprised that nobody has ripped off of vivaldi yet, or at least nobody famous.

I've got the arpeggio's from hell.....(by the way compare them to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for the Piano: Presto Agitato.....interesting similarities in places)....if you're still looking for them head for Audiogalaxy.

The French guitarist Patrick RONDAT (who has played in the G3 when Satch came in France) has played a 'tribute to Vivaldi' where he plays the Spring movement of the four seasons. It sounds pretty cool... By the way, we have had a thread about the fastest guitarist, and Mr cucumber came up, the great Kat came up...
I've also been mentioned as fastest on Knac.com that was totally cool...(ckeck out my mp3s by clicking on my WWW below)
