Hey guys, after 2 months of non stop work I`m back with a new track called When The Dust Settles. Its an oriental prog metal instrumental and a part 2 for Sandstorm (a track I released in January this year).

Have a listen, let me know what you think, and share it with someone if you dig the music!

The riff on Sandstorm is really SICK ! awesome!

the outro solo sounds wild! and to me, the amazing thing is you played that on a V, and that's not an easy guitar to shred on.

Hey man,

I don't know how I missed your post. For some reason I saw it and I thought I had already clicked on it, but I was really thinking of someone else's.

Nice job! You're technique is really nice and you did a great job recording. I love creating this kind of music.

I see you're also a fan of Dream Theater. Petrucci's tone is what I try to copy most of the time. :)

Thanks dude! I`m feeling pretty comfortable on my V for rhythms and solos. Its probably just a matter of action you are comfortable with.

Thanks Rusty, DT is a major influence for me. One of the few bands out there that do prog right (at least in my taste).

I completely agree. Not only has their music influenced me, but Petrucci's teachings have been really helpful. Especially his Wild Stringdom and Rock Discipline books.

Never watched JP's guitar lessons, probably should check those out sometime.
