So I'v been going threw the core learning system for a while now and was itching to get on to the rock section, but it seems to be aimed at electric guitars.
I know rock is possible on acoustic. I'v heard some great rock song covered on acoustic and they sounded amazing.
I guess my question is does what they are teaching in the rock section apply to acoustic?

Yes, absolutely. All the notes, chords & concepts still apply. The primary difference would be if there is a specific type of timbre (or tone) achieved through an special amp or effect setting. But even then you could plug an acoustic into an amp or digital modeling unit.

Have fun!

I say yes too. Are you playing chords? Are you playing melody? It all still applies.
