I think having a licks section would be cool for all genres of music. I also think a lick section should keep all the licks in the same key. I have tons of guitar instruction books and courses that teach licks for every genre but i rarely see any of these books keep all the licks to one specific key. I do know how to transpose all licks to any key but i think it would benefit beginners to beginning intermediate players learn a nice vocabulary of licks and phrases with out having to constantly transpose different licks to the key they want to jam it.
