Cool Riffs!

Hi,

I'm not so familiar with Rock bands from abroad, because in my little country- people are not exposed to it. I just downloaded now "crazy train" of Osbourne and it has a great great start riff. Can someone name me a list of songs with great riffs? (Can be Opening riff or a riff that repeats all over the song).

With internet access you should be able to download lots of songs to listen too?
How about starting with a list of the top 100 songs... there are lots of great riffs in these songs from Layla to Sweet Child O' Mine... how about Black Dog?!?!?

S**t where do i start with a request like this one.....

If you go to http://www.audiogalaxy.com for downloads you will often find when you download songs by any rock or metal band it will say 'Other listeners liked.......' Follow those links to the world or rock music......pick the songs at random like I do when searching new bands out.....okay you wont always get killer riffs but theres more to it than that.

I could recommend so many riffs so I'll give you the one thats stuck in my head right now......Rush's 'Spirit of the Radio'....thats a tough act to follow.

when youget enough of all the rock and metal things try out something more alternative like Jane's addiction, Asian Dub Foundation, Tool also the seatle bands have great riffs -chek Pearl Jam, Alice In Chins( rest in piece stanley), soundgarden and etc

how about some stuff from rage against the machine. Morello used fairly simple riffs that sound great e.g. revolver oh and a band called blindside have got a song called superman, nice and easy and sounds great.

Some other good riff tunes include,

These are all relativelly easy.
