I talked to someone at Sam Ash about this and they told me that he will continue to play fenders but the "rumor" is he's talking with PRS.

I picked up another mayer strat that plays great. love the neck on those. the modern C necks just lack something. the mayer strat feels like a REAL Stratocaster. IMO
