i always get confused when i play in the mirror.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

i used to HAVE to look at my hands in order to be sure my hand and fingers were in the right spot... then i started closing my eyes and/or looking up at a wall or trying to focus on anything other than the fretboard. i noticed that when i play now, its easier for me to sing and play as well.

End.

I don't use the mirror to improve my playin, but I do like lookin in a full lenght mirror with my guitar low slung n doing the cliched rock posses.
