So I found another forum where members will put together tracks and anybody can jump in an provide parts...drums, bass, vocals, guitar solos, etc.
Well here's a guitar solo I provided for a more recent jam. Can you tell I've been working on some ZZ Top?
I'm finally branching out from my "Blues jam in Bm" :-). This felt really good!
The link starts right where my part is. If you go back to the start, there are some really amazing players contributing to this. It's a bit of a heady experience to be jumping in with these guys!!
Hope you like what you hear...

Would you mind if I asked for the lnk to the jamming site you mentioned here?
BTW I'm not able to listen to the sound file right now but I will check it out later. I'm sure you did a great job.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys!!
The website is http://www.guitarforums.com. It's a pretty active forum. There is a good amount of off topic chatter, but still a good amount of on topic discussion. The "Jam Clinic" and "Collaborations" sections are where things like this are set up.

Cool! I don't know if it is still the case, but the admins have to approve all new accounts. It took almost a week for mine to be approved. So if you don't seen an immediate response, be patient.

Hi Rich, Glad you posted the approval process time. I just headed here to ask.. Love it already.. Found a few guitar people that live closer to me.
Thanks for posting the link..

Cool!! Glad you found some local guitar folks already. I came across a drummer-turned-guitarist in there that plays in a popular band in my local area. It also turned out he knows the drummer in my band! Small world!!
I find that forum to be a good complement to this one, though this one seems to have been very quiet lately...not sure why.

Sounds pretty good as usual :)
I'm hoping to get some time in the "studio" this weekend, after finally getting reunited with my beloved SG. It's been in for repairs for almost two months now, because they had trouble getting some parts needed to fix it. If I get the time, I'll try and record some of my playing with the SG and ES, which reminds me... I'm pretty sure I said back in April that I would try to get another recording done and upload it back in May... I'm only 5 months overdue. It could be worse (I could be 19 years overdue like one of the local bands with their debut-EP). I won't promise anything, other than that I'll try to get time to go in the "studio" in the weekend. Until then, I can at least compose some backing tracks... I'm pretty sure my playing has improved a bit since I uploaded that recording back in April...
