I'm with you in that I won't be buying any new Gibsons either.
I put the Tronical Tune on my SG Standard. Huge improvement over the stock tuners. Huge improvement in sound too, the Tronical posts resonate clearer and longer than do the stock tuners. And, it's way nice being able to to re-tune verrrry quickly with a push of the button.
