My semi-local shop had some PRS S2 models in, so I went to try them out. I had never played a PRS. Mira, Custom 22, Custom 24 ... meh. Felt awkward. Don't like trems and what's up with non-adjustable bridges?!

On the way out I spotted an SE ZM. Lust at first sight, love at first play. This thing feels great, sounds great and fit/finish are 100% ... fat, wide neck and an adjustable bridge. And it's gorgeous.

Check 'em out if you get the chance:

I had never heard of Zach Meyers, but he has great taste in guitars :)

What do you mean they didnt have non adjustable bridges.
Are you talking about the stop tail bridge.
As i know all prs bridges are adjustable .
Unless there's something new i dont know about.
Did you buy the zm prs.

The non-trem S2 models have the stop/bridge that does NOT have individually adjustable saddles. There is a micro-adj at each post, but not per string.

S2 models started last year ...

Yes, I bought the ZM. It's a single cut, non-trem, semi-hollow with fully adjustable bridge. The pups are the SE245s.

Depending on which Gibby I buy, this might end up with SD P-Rails. But if I didn't already have humbuckers, these are great.

It's a Korean with a street price of $680. Feels, plays, sounds great.

That s cool enjoy ur new Prs.
I been playing Prs Guitars for a long time now.
I have several SE models. Then my us made custome 24.
I do have that tremonti single cut, with a stop tail bridge.
This one has the fat wide neck. The good thing about stop tail bridges are, they stay in tune and the sound will sustain allot better. I just bought a fender mia std strat.
And i can not put it down.

What i forgot to say. The se models are great guitars.
There wallet Friendly, they sound great and play well.
And most of them are built like tanks. The finish on my black Prs/tremonti s#%ks!. Its very fragile. On the custome 24's are much better idk why that is. There both se models. Did you look at the Prs/ dave navarro model.
It only comes in jet white or black. That one is a kick ass axe. Has hfs vintage pickups. Hfs ( hot fat screaming).
Like i was saying about fender, man there awsome guitars. Imo i love to bend with vibrato, and my strat makes it a breeze.

Yeah the s2 are a break down from the original Prs custom 24 us made. They came out with the S2 ,because as Prs said not everyone can afford a original custom24.
I think there lame imo. You did better with the zm,se!

I have hardly put the PRS down. Sweet guitar. My new Studio Pro is supposed to arrive today. In a few weeks I'll be able to decide whether or not the SD P-Rails go into one of them ...

Yes, the PRS is VERY well built. I've been reported 100% on fit/finish, but I've noticed now that the two E tuning machines are slightly crooked. WTF?

Oh well, no imapct on playability & tone.

I love it. This has to be one of my best purchases ever.

Hey Bob- your interest in the SD P-Rails is justified. I bought a Godin a couple months ago that came with SDPR stock (as well as a HD revoicer) and I absolutely love them. From a versatility viewpoint I'd say they are the best pick-up I've ever heard. This Godin is now my hands-down favorite guitar. If I felt inclined to change pick-ups in any of my other guitars it would absolutely be with SD P-Rails. ((I'm also an SE fan - that ZM is beautiful))

Thanks for the confirmation. My Gibby Studio Pro arrived today. I'm thinking I'll put SD P-Rails in either it or the ZM PRS. Prolly the Studio as I expect that be my primary.

I saw an LTD once that had a set of P-Rails stock. I like 'em :)

How do you like the Studio Pro? Months back I tried one in a local Guitar Center and thought it was a nice guitar. Compared very nicely to the Standard Plus I eventually bought.

I really like it a lot. It's got looks, plays great and very resonant. And the weight is right.

My Beauty weighs 10-9 and it's solid mahogany. I wanted a lighter LP with a maple cap. This one weighs in at 8 even.

The 60s neck will take a little getting used to, but I can tell already I will like the profile at least as well as the 50s.

Here are a couple of the sweetwater picks:

Wow, very nice!!! The fireburst candy color is really sharp! I got my LP from sweetwater also. They are great to deal with.

I perfer the 60's neck since it's very similar to the neck profile on the strat I've been playing for 15 years! The neck on my LP Studio is a 50's style and feels like a baseball bat in comparison. It doesn't really bother me, but when I hold the slimmer neck in my had, I notice it and it feels more natural to me.

The compound radius neck is amazing. You can really get the action low with no fretbuzz!!

Enjoy!!
