trying to get back into Rock n' Roll

Hi, I'm Sam. I have been playing guitar for about 30 years. Originally inspired by the shredders of the early 1980s, by high school I was drawn to the Grateful Dead and spent hours listening to and trying to copy not only Jerry's lead lines but Bobby's much underrated rhythm playing. In the late 1990s I started playing in a bluegrass band. I have spent the last 15 years or so playing both guitar and banjo in a bluesgrass group. Thanks in large part to spending the summer going to several Phish shows and listening to a lot of my old Dead tapes I was inspired to once again pick up the electric guitar and explore the rock n' roll genre.
