I know that Fender and Gibson sell packages that included an entry-level guitar, a small practice amp, cables, etc.; basically everything you need to get started. There are even Acoustic/Electric packages. They range in price from $199 to $349 USD. Go to your local Music Store and talk with someone in the guitar section.
As an alternative I would recommend calling Sweetwater, an online seller here in the US. Ask for Greg Savino and mention my name.
