Hi Guys,

First time here so hope Ive posted this in the right place !

I am the guitarist in a 3 piece band and we are playing the Thin Lizzy Track 'Don't Believe a Word' , which obviously has some lovely 2 guitar harmony lines in it.

My hope is that I can use the intelligent Harmoniser in my Eventide H9 to set the Interval and the Mode/Scale so I can play both lines myself, but Im driving myself nuts trying to find the right settings.

Can anyone please help me out and tell me what the Interval and mode or scale settings I should be using to achieve this please, cos every setting Ive tried just sounds wrong :-(

Also is this even possible - my head says it should work (even though I get the fact that I'll end up with a harmony on the root note as well, but I can live with that)

Many Thanks in advance for any help/ advice you can give !! :-)

That tune is in A minor, but TL recorded it in slack tuning (tuned down one-half step to E-flat).

The intro riff is in octave unisons, then diatonic thirds. But the lower guitar plays an F#, so that's A dorian.

Once the verse & chorus starts in you're back to straight A minor, because there is a harmonized line over the A minor chord then the D minor chord.

Hope that helps!
