I just started Guitar tricks Sunday before last, and am really enjoying the guided tutorials. I've tried teaching myself from books, and using the popular, but trumped-up in my opinion, Rocksmith for the PS3, and become disinterested in the past, because there is not structure in place to guide practice or learning - pretty much just a free-for-all. With guitartricks I feel like I'm learning and always have a next step to take without having to know through some sort of omniscience what that next step is. I still can learn a song when I want to get away from mechanics and fundamentals, so it hasn't gotten boring so far. Two months, give or take, is as long as I've been able to try learning in the past, but I think I'll be able to stick with it this time.
