tabs

I understand a few...very few...tab symbols. Occasionally I download lessons from guitartricks.com & find the tab sheet contains several symbols I have never seen before and no explanation is present. Does anybody know where one might purchase printed information providing explanations of the many symbols used in tab. I have tried several music stores including guitar center. At best I received an ambiguous response that seemed to say: You're on your own!

There's bunches of internet hits to be had for more detail, e.g., http://www.how-to-play-electric-guitar.net/tab-symbols.html and http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/lessons/for_beginners/guide_to_tab_notation.html . Do a Bing or Google search if you need more and don't forget to search the "Images" pages...you might find some printable charts there...
