Hello all,
I've just registered for the ten day trial and already have had a good laugh. At the top of the "post new thread box" I see the following:
Welcome, LouisVA.
You last visited: 12-31-1969 at 11:00 PM

I really doubt I was here in 1969 as I was way busy at college majoring at partying. I do remember some of it but not all (grin).

My interest is primarily blues and I am currently working on "Blues Guitar Unlimited," an intermediate blues course taught by Griff Hamlin. It's a course via DVD but also he sends out vids as bonus material. I am 64 and was in a garage band in high school from 1966 - 1968 (wasn't everyone?) called "The Aeons of Tyme." Wow, the name describes the era. I have not played much in the interim years but started back about 6 mos. ago with Griff. Peace to all!

Welcome!

You'll get use to the erroneous dates, particularly join dates and birthdates (seems 70% here were born on November 30 :D ). But those are gnat-like bothersome flaws of an overwhelmingly excellent website.

My history is similar to yours: played just a little in college during nearly the same timeframe as yours. Despite what my records say, for two years I majored in the 'three C's'; Coors, co-eds and campus politics. Went into the military, got serious about night school, got married, blah, blah, blah and ended up with a great career, a wonderful marriage and a 35-year break in guitar playing. ;)

It didn't take long for Guitar Tricks to bring me back to, and then past, my old playing level convincing me of two things; what a great teaching site this is and what a low level my former playing was at. :o

Again, welcome. This is one cool site!
