Zeppelin.....Please read.

Now I know some of you guitarists out there are probably sick to death with stairway to heaven. But I have a problem with it.

I pulled up what was one of the best tabs on mxtabs for stairway and i learn it. Only to find out when I show my guitar teacher that it is wrong.
The tab shows single notes to play and my guitar teacher showed me chords.
Now this was at the end of the lesson and he didnt have time to tell me the chords. So I was wondering if any of you here could tell me the chords to play for the intro.

i dont remember it much since i havent played it for long time now
but the chords should A (with the riff) then D ,G and Am
the tab on tabcrawler is alright as far as i remember..

theory is lousy,but, it IS finger picked with the odd 2 or 3 note chord formed while you're doing the old

According to Ye Olde Tab Book ..the chords are (apparently)

"~Am~ ~C+addB/G#~ ~C/G~ ~D/F#~ ~Fma7~ ~G~ ~Am~" times 2,

then "~C~ ~D~ ~Fma7~ ~Am~ ~C~ ~G~ ~D~" times 2.

This is repeated until just before "Oooh it makes me wonder" when the main chord sequence comes in.
