I can not believe i was the only bidder on a ,american fender standard strat .
2013 model with custom shop fat 50's pickups.
Skb fender case.
Sienna sunburst.
Ect.....
Well i think the sellar is alittle confused.
He had stated new other then.
He says the guitar was handled, but never plug in.
So i questioned him on that.he said it was his friends guitar that he used it for a local band he was in.
He states he knows nothin about guitars and says he has another fender for sale too on ebay.this one is a vintage bass.and he got the two mixed up,one is used obviously the bass is used and the Guitar is new.alittle skeptical about this.but there is a 14 money back.total cost $845.
It is a really nice axe.is it worth having my wife bi#@& at me,hell ya

Cool! A friend of mine has a strat in the sienna sunburst color. I'm partial to my 3 color sunburst, but the sienna is really cool too.

Hopefully the guitar is what you expect!

I read a couple of reviews on the new standard strat.
One guy said they sprayed the frets with some type of coating.and said it sounds horrible when bending strings.
Anyone have the new standard american Strat.
?.i know i already won it at an awsome price.

Maybe i might be better off buying an older one.
Help me out here don't know a lot about fender guitars.
I do know they feel real good in my hands

Does the strat you bought have the rosewood board or the maple?

My USA strat is a 2000. It would still pass for new because I rarely play it. Sounds/feels fine but I got one with a rosewood board even though I prefer a maple board. (price was too good to pass up). I think that is why it sits in it's case rarely used. It's probably all in my head - I doubt if I could tell the difference blind-folded.

I find it hard to believe Fender would coat the frets with something that would compromise the product. Let us know what you think of your new Strat after you get it.

Take Care -

Its a done deal.
Im now a proud owner of a fender.
Took my time on paying, but o had to know what the deal was with the coating on the frets.

I called several stores and they all said they never heard of anything like that.
I really couldn't pass up a deal like that.
Its an extra $150 for the sierra sunburst.

I guess i have allot house work ahead of me.
Hopefully i can find a buyer for my Marshall or blackstar all tube amps..im letting the Marshall go for $500 .and blackstar ht5rw brand new for $400.. there listed on reverb.com and one of my Prs se is there too.and a vox wah pedal.sorry gt for advertising.

Yeah its not sienna, its sierra sunburst which is lighter in color.wish i had a laptop .thats next a must have.
I really hope i like this axe.

Im sure i will ,not sure how the fat 50's sound.
But at that price i would be crazy not to grab it.
See he had two fenders for one being a Guitar other being a bass.
The bass was soppossed to be $845,and Guitar $1249 starting bid.if it doesnt suit me,there is a 14 money back.

Or i can sell it on reverb.com.put it up for $1100.

There selling for $1399. Anyway like i said way to good of a deal to pass up.will see.

My new strat was delivered to me today.
It looks beautiful and feels great love it.
Though i havent had time to plug in yet,i must finish the dishes lol.
I only found two minor things wrong for a new Guitar.
#1 the strings are very old to wear you can just look at them and tell.
So that makes me think this Guitar was played.
But that's the only sighn of wear. Not a mark on it as far as i can see.

#2 the bottom tone knob is stiff through 10&8 .after that its smooth.
It did come with all case candy, yummy.
And which is not a big deal the SKP ts002 case has no pockects.

When i called Ams they said that case has two pockets?.
But thats fine it is a nice heavy duty case.
And case's aren't to be played.

Over all so far so good.i only had time to strum a few cords and a couple of licks.
Im just going by a quick feel test.
I"ll let you all know what i thing about the tone.custom 50's ,never heard them.
What was in a standard strat before they put these custome ones in?.
Be back later. Peace to all.

That's fantastic that the guitar is as good as you hoped.

Regarding the knob stiffness, it may just be a matter of lifting the control knob up a smidge. The plastic scratch plates aren't perfectly flat, so sometimes if the knob is pushed down too far, it will rub against the scratchplate at certain points.

As longs as everything looks in order, I wouldn't worry about the strings appearing used. It had to have been played at least a little bit! The way I sweat, if I played it for 15 or 30 minutes, the strings would be tarnished.

Hurry up on those dishes so you can get to playing!! :-)

Actually i was finally able to replace the strings this morning.
Gave em a good stretching to rid any tension, then plugged it into the js10.
And the fire works began.
But seriously this Guitar is awsome ,as you know for your self.

I really love it the feel is great ,bending is a whole lot easier its just like butter.
Love my Prs guitars and always will its just a different feel and something new.

And i'm really surprised how good this Guitar sounded through the js10.
Later on i"ll plug it in my Marshall, and play some zeppelin.

I can go on for days tellin you how much i love this Guitar.
But i wont .
The only thing i would of liked was if it had locking tuners.
Oh well no complaints here.

Awesome!!! Yes, the neck on the strat is like butter.

You can always add locking tuners. Now that I know how awesome locking tuners are, I'm pretty sure I'll be putting them on my strat in the near future. They make string changes so much easier and really help tuning stability.

I know what ya mean, locking tuners i love.
I called ( ptc) they wanted to charge me $480
To install them.
Unless you can do it ur self and save money.

The locking tuners i seen on Ebay for $180.

But ill bet there alot cheaper for a fender.

It seems Prs parts are very expensive.
Still love them though.

$480 for locking tuners is ridiculous! Yes, for a Fender, you should be able to find something significantly cheaper. If you get ones made to fit into the fender, it shouldn't be a big deal to do it yourself. I'm sure you can find plenty of youtube videos on how to do it.

If you brought it to a local shop, it may not that expensive either, especially if you bought the tuners elsewhere. Definitely worth checking it out at your local music shop.

I wanted the locking tuners for my white c24 SE
I seen them on ebay for $180 .ptc will put them im for $180.
But you have to fill in 6 holes.
I would of done it for $180 if they filled in the holes.
And they would have to spray it too.

Thats allot of money $480 plus you have to pay shipping both ways.
Crazy sh!t.
