I see you are a Register User and I would say try being a full access member for a while and try some lessons. This site is not only a great way to start but great for advanced players too.

If you had any skill in the past, you will find that it is alot like a bike and go 'oh yeah, I remember how to do this now'. Many here are old(er) guitar restarters. I (just) turned 49 and, until a few years ago, had take a decade off. It comes back. I came back pretty quickly but I did find that what I used to play was not as interesting to me. I have spent time in other genres on this site (and there are many) checking stuff out.

Never too old and never too late if you enjoy something.
