Hello to everyone,

My name is Kervin. I am currently an E-6 in the USN. I am overjoyed to have finally made the commitment to learning to play guitar. Music has been in my life since I was young. Although I did not decide to start learning to play until I was 27 years old. I really hope it is not too late to learn to play and become fantastic. My goal is to one day release a Jazz album. I would like to release just one. Jazz leaves me in awe and has soothed my soul. I am huge fan of Ronny Jordan, Chris Standring, Chuck Loeb,Peter White, and Earl Klugh. Those guys are excellent. I am looking for all the tips and help I can get to help me along the way. I plan on going to college and obtaining a music minor and learning to write it. Once again Hello everyone and I look forward to talking with you all on these forums.

Welcome aboard sailor.. Never to old to start. Plenty of guys here starting much older then you.. Myself included.. turning 69 this year..
Instructor Christopher Schlegel is probably to one to zero in for Jazz. Other here do jazz, but Chris will probably be your go to man..
Go through guitar fundamentals one and two and that will get you about any place you want to go with guitar music
Happy picking..
Hey, what's your rating..

COMPART1,

I am a part of the submarine community. My rating is Machinist Mate Weapons or Torpedoman's Mate as they used to call us. I appreciate the shout out. I cant wait to get started. This is really exciting for me. Hopefully some time in the near future I'll have the honor of rocking out with you. Thanks again for the advice.
