PRS Introduced the S2 series, which are of American made quality without the high prices American made PRS guitars usually go for. The S2 PRS line is like the Studio line for Gibson.
The only drawback of the PRS Custom 24 is that the frets get a little crowded toward the top of the neck to accomodate the addition frets. I also thought the neck was a little narrower at the nut.
They are great guitars, but ultimately the PRS S2 Custom 24 just wasn't for me. I find the Gibson Les Paul standard with a 60's slim taper neck more to my liking.
The feel of the PRS was similar, but not really like my strat. You should try one out in person.
