Hello all
I joined this site for Christopher Segal (??) lessons on combining rhythm and lead guitar into the one piece.
I am an intermediate level player but I want to learn independence from written tab and backing tracks etc by being able to play both rhythm and lead together on my own.
Hope it works out!

Yes that's it. I have started with his lessons in E and will (hopefully!) work my way thru them all. I am aiming to gain some musical independence by being able to play a piece without any accompaniment or backing tracks as I find learning songs etc leaves you still needing a singer or a band to play with! I will study this idea and also the Ragtime/Chet Atkins style guitar as that also leads to guitar independence.
You were very good to answer so I will ask you one more question!
My background is classical guitar so I really cannot use a pick and like to use my fingers only.
My question is are there any lessons here that deal with playing lead etc WITHOUT a pick as I am finding it difficult to find that type of thing as they all seem to assume the use of a pick????
Thanks again!!
