Hello - just signed up so thought I'd see what the forum is all about.

I played a little (badly) as a teenager, like you do, then forgot about it for years. More recently, over the last couple of years, I've played the ukulele a fair bit and can hold my own on that front - but I couldn't resist the Taylor GS Mini when I spotted one in a local guitar shop so here I am.

I can hold a few basic chords and strum ok given the uke thing, but thought Guitar Tricks might be a way of moving myself on. Ten quid a month for a bit has got to be worth a punt, right?

Welcome Nigel!

Lots of us here played, or pretended to play  , in our teens and dropped guitar shortly thereafter. I may be close to the record in GT...my break was about 35 years.

And, yeah, the ten quid a month is one of the best deals going...unless you get the year membership. :)

Where in the UK? I spent two years a little north of Harrogate a couple decades ago and am itching to get back for a vacation.

Enjoy...have a great journey!

Welcome aboard!!! Yes, for the price it's definitely "worth a punt!!".

There are ton of great resources in with technique lessons, theory lessons, song lessons, etc. The community here is very active with both students and instructors.

Have fun!!! Be sure to ask for help or advice when you have trouble.

Thank you both for the welcome! I've just sat through the Sweet Home Alabama tutorial and got plenty from that (shows what a beginner I am!)

I'm near to Birmingham in the Midlands...
