what is a good guitar type?

My Alvarez is great. Only one truss rod adjustment in 9 years. Holds tuning rather well. My only complaint (acoustic / electric) is the battery compartment is hard to reach. I can not be change easily. Even with the string removed it was still hard to plug up and get back into the holding clips. I think it was, at the time a lower end model.

mine is a acoustic guitar and it works well for me. One guy offered me $100 for it. I declined the offer.

"What is a good guitar type"
Depends on what you like, how it feels, what your going to play.. Get a good grip on your ability to play a few chords and finger a few notes, then start to shop around on what feels good to you.
Durability and playablity will be a main concern, so watch guitar demo and forum remarks is a fair way to research..
GT's fundamental 1 should give you a back ground of guitar construction and how things work. I never hurts to have an idea of how things work..

In my humble opinion a good guitar is one that stays in tune, is the right size for you, puts out a sound you like and most of all one you go back too. No point in having an all singing bells and whistles guitar gathering dust in the corner.
Keep on plucking.
Keep on plucking.
